Mr. Irby is a native Washingtonian and a fourth-generation educator. He matriculated through the D.C. public school system and attended the university of the District of Columbia where he graduated from the school of education with a degree in teaching art. Mr. Irby’s favorite medium is acrylic paint on canvas. His hobbies include gardening, furniture making, and recently theatric set design. Mr. Irby served the students of the District of Columbia for 20 years and has been a member of the Fairfax family since 2016.
Mr. Reyes comes from Puerto Rico. He graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Puerto Rico with a bachelor in Art Education and a minor in Painting. He has been teaching for 15 years. He enjoys spending time with his wife and family, getting to know new cultures, cooking, music, and fitness. As an art teacher he helps his students to be creative and have another communication outlet. He believes that art education allows us to express our individuality and allows to be creative and help us develop self-confidence and sensibility. He also sees art as a universal language, which enable us to stand together as citizens of the world.
