Stephanie Smith
Mrs. Smith is originally from central Illinois and graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Political Science. She moved to the DC region almost thirty years ago and spent a decade working and living in Africa. Returning to the region she became a Rose Hill parent and began advocating for special education and inclusion of students with disabilities. She has served as the Franconia representative to the FCPS Advisory Committee for Students with Disabilities since 2022 and is on the board of other parent organizations advocating for special education in FCPS. This advocacy sparked an interest in special education, and she joined the Rose Hill staff. She is pursuing a degree in special education. She loves spending time with her husband and son and to relax she enjoys baking, reading and knitting.
