Submit an absence using our attendance form below or by calling 703-313-4242. Absences and late arrivals must be reported to the front office by 9 a.m.

Parents/legal guardians can use this form to report your child's absence from Rose Hill Elementary School. By completing and submitting this form you are authorizing Rose Hill ES to note the absence of your child today, and you hereby give consent that telephone verification may be required by the school. If you have multiple students who attend Rose Hill ES and who will be absent, you must complete a form for each child. This form reports an absence for today only. If you child is absent for multiple days, please report the absence each day using this same form.

When reporting a student's absence, please be specific about why your student will not attend school today. If reporting an ill student, Please include the symptoms in the "reason for absence" field on the form.

Regular attendance is necessary for maximum student achievement in school. In addition, punctuality and dependability in meeting assigned responsibilities are personal behavior habits valued in our society. To help students develop desirable behavior patterns, as well as maximize their classroom learning, Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) requires that students be punctual and regular in school class attendance.
