Michael Staroscik

Assistant Principal, ES

Mr. Staroscik is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia.  He holds a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in Elementary Education and began his career in education at the elementary level, teaching 3rd grade in Northampton County on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.  After three years there, he moved to northern Virginia to work for FCPS teaching 3rd and 4th grade at Mantua ES.  Once he earned his Master’s degree in 2007 from George Mason University in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Multilingual/Multicultural Education, he taught middle school ESOL at Cooper, Rocky Run, and South County encompassing all disciplines.  Mr. Staroscik earned his endorsement in administration through the Accelerated Certification Cohort (ACC) in FCPS.  On a personal note, he enjoys hiking, traveling, yard work, cooking, and binge-watching TV shows.
