Strategic Plan Goal 1: Student Success

Goal:

  • By June 2020, 80% of all students will be on/above grade level in Reading as measured by Fountas and Pinnell assessments. 

  • By June 2020, 100% of all students will increase their score by 1 or 2 levels as measured by the POG communicator rubric in both Language Arts and Math.

SIIP Strategy 1:   

  • Staff will use ongoing student data to plan small group and individual instruction and respond using a workshop model.

    • Connection to POG: Goal-Oriented and Resilient

    • Connection to CAG: Academic Support

  • Action Steps:​​​​​​​

    1. Staff will co-create common formative assessments and rubrics to continuously inform instruction.

    2. Staff will analyze, monitor, and reflect on data to determine next steps in tier 1 and 2 instruction.

    3. Staff will engage in job-embedded professional development and intentional collaboration to support instructional decision-making around workshop models.

  • Staff will design and implement learning opportunities for students to engage in critical thinking through communication and collaboration.

    1. Staff will co-create common formative assessments and rubrics to continuously inform instruction.

    2. Staff will analyze, monitor, and reflect on data to determine next steps in tier 1 and 2 instruction.

    3. Staff will engage in job-embedded professional development and intentional collaboration to support instructional decision-making around workshop models.

    4. Staff will participate in school-based instructional rounds, team classroom visits, lesson studies, and coaching to continuously reflect upon progress/growth of school-wide implementation of discourse and critical thinking skills among students.​​​​​​​

Strategic Plan Goal 2: Caring Culture

Goal:

  •  By June 2020, there will be a 30% decrease in the number of student suspensions and a 2% increase in attendance.

SIIP Strategy 3:   

  • Staff will engage and implement the Positivity Project to increase self-awareness around relationships for both students and staff.

  • ​​​​​​​Action Steps:​​​​​​​

    1. Staff will participate in ongoing professional learning on the Positivity Project

    2. Staff will be intentional around building a common language character strengths vocabulary and concepts both in and outside of the classroom (RHNN, SWMM, Morning Meeting, PBA, TGIB)
